One of the worst Indian food experiences I’ve had in months. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place deserves one. The food does not resemble authentic Indian cuisine and feels more like a restaurant using an Indian name to attract customers. Their so-called “best” dish, the chicken biryani, was not biryani at all—it tasted like chicken curry mixed with rice at the last minute. Portion sizes were also disappointingly small, barely enough for one person. We tried multiple dishes, and none stood out. If you decide to eat here, your safest option is probably a vegetarian dish with naan. I would not return.

The food here is amazing and everyone needs to give this place a chance. I drove three hours to get here and it was absolutely worth it. We ordered the chili chicken, butter chicken, garlic naan, and butter naan, and everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The restaurant is clean, calm, and they even had a good movie playing in the background. Ignore the negative reviews. The food is good, and if you scroll through the bad reviews and read the owners responses, they are honestly hilarious. Yes, they accept tap to pay and card, so do not worry about that. The only thing that felt a little odd was the paper plates and plastic spoons for dine in, but it was not a big deal at all. Overall, this place is fire and I will definitely be coming back.

I visited Mehfil Indian Restaurant in Atlantic City yesterday and had a bit of a mixed experience. The food quality varied significantly across the dishes. The Chapli Chicken Kabab was easily the highlight—it was flavorful and actually exceeded my expectations. The Karahi Goat Curry was also solid and took second place for the night. However, the Pulao Rice was a major letdown; it had a strange, pickled-like aftertaste that just didn't work. We also had three garlic naans which were standard. The most disappointing part of the evening wasn't the food, though—it was the service. There was almost no attention paid to customers, and we felt largely ignored throughout the meal. If they could match their service and rice quality to those kababs, it would be a much better spot.

They drowned our food in white sauce when I asked for it on the side. The quality of the chicken and lamb is very cheap you can tell from the texture and taste. Spent $42, what a waste! I’m coming back to say, that you don’t know what you’re talking about. I ordered on DoorDash , I ordered two platters! You got the wrong person. At the end of the day, the food was disgusting! Get better quality food!

The restaurant overall was quite good, and I appreciated the ambiance and service. However, I was very disappointed with the mutton biryani. It was mostly bones with barely any meat, which made it feel more like a “bones biryani” than a proper mutton biryani. At $20, it simply didn’t feel like a good value. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality of the dish accordingly.
